**Ensign Peak Academy students are welcome to enroll** in Shormann Math’s Algebra 1, Algebra 2 or Pre-Calculus with Trigonometry, and Saxon 8/7 (for Pre-Algebra).

Standing on the shoulders of math giants like Euclid, Euler, and Newton, together with John Saxon’s proven teaching methods, Dr. Shormann has published a 21st Century curriculum which teaches all the concepts on the redesigned PSAT, SAT and ACT, now provided entirely on Canvas–a state of the art learning management system. (No textbook purchase required, for most courses.) Students will learn more efficiently, building fluency with less homework than traditional Saxon texts.

Shormann Math is built on a biblical and historical foundation that teaches math as the language of science; a tool used to better understand God and His creation. An emphasis on math history gives students a clearer picture of the “why” behind the math they are learning, while shedding light on modern math’s rich Christian heritage. Students learn how to use math as a tool to explore their world and enhance their own God-given creativity.

Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus with Trigonometry are **now provided in Canvas, at no extra cost, for Ensign Peak Academy students** who are enrolled in the full live program or the full schedule of self-paced courses.

Students may opt to enroll in selected courses, such as math, instead of the full schedule. In this case, Shormann Math course tuition is $180/course for middle school, and $225/course for high school.

No materials need to be purchased for Algebra 1, Algebra 2 or Pre-Calculus. Pre-Algebra students will need to purchase the Saxon 8/7 with Pre-Algebra, Third Edition Complete Homeschool Kit with Solutions Manual. (You may be able to find a used copy at a discounted price.) **Note that Saxon 8/7 is a better pre-algebra curriculum than Saxon Pre-Algebra**, and will provide Pre-Algebra credit for high school students. Read Dr. Shormann’s explanation of this recommendation. (Dr. Shormann is developing a pre-algebra curriculum which will be released at a later date.)
