In addition to the tuition paid to BYU Idaho, a $20 per course administrative fee is paid to Ensign Peak Academy. When your student completes BYUI courses, request the official transcript from the BYUI website and have it sent to registrar@ensignpeakacademy.com. You will then receive an invoice for $20 per course from Ensign Peak Academy for the administrative fee.

Note that BYU Hawaii courses are also accepted as concurrent enrollment courses at the $20 per course administrative fee rate.

High school students may apply college credit earned from other colleges towards the Ensign Peak Academy high school graduation requirements. In addition to the tuition paid to any other college, a $30 non-refundable per-course evaluation fee is paid to Ensign Peak Academy. Courses may or may not be approved. Contact us for details.

A note to students and parents to consider:

Many students participate in high school concurrent/dual enrollment programs. The ones who had help identifying a major and understood their college requirements are so glad they participated in these classes. The students who randomly chose classes without understanding what GE and major requirements they would have are sometimes frustrated that they took so many classes. For example, students only need 1-2 Natural Science GE classes. They might look at this list and take 4 of them and not have financial aid to cover a minor they really want to add down the road. Some of their majors might automatically fulfill those requirements as well. Pre-med students, for example, need to take CHEM 105 and PH 121 which cover all of their Natural Science requirements.

Any students planning to attend BYUI would benefit from speaking with an advisor about their plans and interests. They can view a list of our majors here: https://www.byui.edu/majors/. If students click on a major they are interested in and scroll down the 4-year plan button they will see the recommended course sequencing for that major. It would be wise to take any of the classes recommended in the first three or so semesters. They can also set up a Grad Plan as a prospective student using their church login: https://iplan.byui.edu/enterprisev2/#/userDashboard. This will help them understand which classes to plan for. Concurrent enrollment students don’t have full access to this resource, but they can set up multiple plans with any major/minors they are considering. For help setting up a Grad Plan they are welcome to Zoom with a peer advisor. This appointment can be scheduled by calling 208-496-9860 or emailing CLLAdvising@byui.edu.
