Mentors for the courses listed below (PT): Minimum two-years’ experience, preferably in a formal school setting. Bachelor’s degree or higher, in a field related to the subject taught, is required.

Candidates must have an enduring love of youth, love of teaching, and love of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ as set forth by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We seek mentors who appreciate the blessings of liberty and who strive to support parents as the prime orchestrators of their children’s education.

Online or webinar teaching experience and general fluency with computer technology and Canvas (or other LMS) is preferred. Competitive pay based upon experience and education.

Mentors teach and support students online, from home or from their own office, and may live anywhere. Mentors teach Ensign Peak Academy pre-developed curriculum. Strong, reliable internet signal is a must.

Current Openings for 2026-2027

High School Math Mentor: This part time position includes teaching two sections of Ensign Peak Academy’s Secondary Math I, and mentoring High School Math Study Hall which is a live, online session during which students work on their own lessons and the mentor is available to support as needed. Requirements include a love for math and math teaching, and the ability to teach online. The teaching schedule is Mon, Tues, Wed and Thurs from 9:00 – 9:50 am Mountain Time, and 1:00 – 1:50 pm Mountain Time and Tues and Thurs from 8:00 – 8:50 am Mountain Time. Compensation is $26 per live class session. A degree in math or science, math teaching or teaching in a math-related field is required.

Middle and High School Science Mentor: This part time position includes teaching two 50-minute live classes each week to students living in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The middle school live science courses feature 9-week units on Chemistry, Ecology, Geology and Astronomy. For high school, it is a 2-semester Chemistry course. A science degree and teaching experience are required. Live classes will be held on Tuesdays from 9:00 – 10:50 UTC. Compensation starts at $42 per live class.

Spanish Mentor: This part time position includes teaching two 50-minute sections of High School Spanish 1 on Wednesdays from 10:00 – 10:50 a.m. and from 1:00 – 1:50 MT, one 50-minute High School Spanish 2 course on Wednesdays from 11:00 – 11:50 a.m. MT. Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 are each 2-semester courses, taught from August to May. High School Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 class time will consist of presentations on culture, the growth of the Church, conversation practice and support of high school student progress in using Babbel to learn Spanish. This mentor will also teach three 1-semester sections of Spanish Basics and three 1-semester sections of Spanish Essentials. Those courses include fun and engaging introductions to Spanish with interactive lessons developed by Ensign Peak Academy. Those courses do not use Babbel.Two of each of those courses will be taught each semester to Middle School (7th – 8th grade) students, on Thursdays from 10:00 – 10:50 a.m. and 11:00 – 11:50 a.m. MT. Spanish Basics will be taught during 1st semester and Spanish Essentials will be taught during 2nd semester to 4th – 6th Graders on Thursdays from 12:00 – 12:40 p.m. MT. Compensation starts at $42 per live Spanish Basics class and $46 per live High School Spanish class. A degree in Spanish and teaching experience is required.
