This exciting course takes students through world history from the Renaissane to the Information Age. It begins with in overview of the history of the Ottoman Empire and the emergence of the Renaissance. Students will then learn about the Age of Exploration and colonization, and the Scientific Revolution. Students will enjoy learning some of the most fascinating aspects of the modern histories of China, India, Korea, Japan, Iran and Russia. Special emphasis will be given to the Reformation, and its relation to the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Students will then dive into learning about the American and French Revolutions, the Atlantic slave trade, the Napoleonic Wars and the Industrial Revolution. Both World Wars will be covered, followed by the division of Korea, the Arab-Israeli conflict, the Cold War, the Information Age and Post-Colonial Africa.
